How do I best write a first message?
Keep it personal and specific: refer to a shared interest or a group. Every profile shows you what connects you – a good hook to start with.
How do I write to someone?
On every profile you will find the “Send message” button. It starts a direct conversation. In groups you can also talk to each other through the group feed.
What is a buddy request?
With a buddy request you connect more closely with someone. Once you both confirm, you are friends – which, depending on the settings, unlocks more of the profile.
Can anyone message me?
You stay in control: who may contact you depends on your visibility settings. You can block unwanted people at any time.
Is there a limit on chatting?
The basic use lets you get in touch. For unlimited messaging and extra convenience features there is the Premium membership – you will find the details on the pricing page.
What should I do about inappropriate messages?
Act straight away using “Report” and “Block”. Blocked people can no longer see or contact you. We usually review reports within 24 hours.
