Three for the month, three for the quarter.
Challenges run city-wide – every figure is calculated, from confirmed meet-ups, redeemed tickets and completed journeys. Nobody types a number in by hand.

The system picks from these 50 challenges.
The selection is fixed as soon as a month or quarter begins, and deliberately mixes across the areas – five challenges that are all about rideshares would be useless to most people. There is nothing to apply for: if you take part, you count.
No group, no programme.
Sunday heroes
Sunday is the loneliest day of the week. Make it the fullest.
Sunday afternoon is the hour when being alone weighs heaviest: the week is over, the new one has not started, and everybody else seems busy. This challenge only counts meet-ups that took place on a Sunday between 1pm and 7pm. No programme needed – a walk counts just as much as a coffee.
A shared goal
200 Sunday meet-ups
Sunday anchor – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
Whole city · Runs for a month · Little effort
The first time
Going along to someone’s very first meet-up.
The first meet-up is the highest hurdle on the whole platform – everything gets easier after it. It is counted from the NEWCOMER’s point of view: it only counts if, for at least one of the two people, it was their first confirmed meet-up ever.
A shared goal
60 first meet-ups
Pathfinder – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
Whole city · Runs for a month · Little effort
Spontaneous weeks
“I’m about to be at…” – and someone actually joins.
Spontaneous meet-ups are the most honest proof that a city is alive: nobody plans two weeks ahead, it just happens. Only spontaneous invitations where someone really joined are counted – not the number of invitations.
A shared goal
120 spontaneous meet-ups
Spontaneity hero – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
Whole city · Runs for a month · Little effort
Dependable
Seeing the same people again – three times in the quarter.
The difference between an acquaintance and a companion is repetition. This challenge only counts meet-ups with people you have met before – the quality of the bond instead of the number of contacts.
A shared goal
300 reunions
Anchor – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
Whole city · Runs for a quarter · Some effort
City explorer
Always the same café? Ten different places this time.
If you always meet in the same place, sooner or later you always meet the same people. Different meeting places are counted – each place counts once, however often you were there.
A goal for every single person
10 different places
Explorer – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.

Fair words
Leaving two sentences behind after a meet-up.
Reviews are how strangers tell whether they can trust someone – and they are almost always missing, because after a lovely afternoon nobody thinks about writing one. This challenge makes following up the task itself.
A shared goal
250 reviews
Fair voice – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
Whole city · Runs for a month · Little effort
After work
The hours after work are the loneliest – fill them.
Between six and ten in the evening, most people sit at home alone. Member meet-ups that took place on a weekday within exactly that window are counted.
A shared goal
150 after-work meet-ups
After-work anchor – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
Whole city · Runs for a month · Little effort
Lunchtime company
Not eating alone – not at lunchtime either.
Many people spend their lunch break alone at their desk. Member meet-ups between eleven and two are counted – eating together is enough.
A shared goal
90 lunchtime meet-ups
Lunch guest – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
Whole city · Runs for a month · Little effort
Loyal soul
Eight meet-ups in the quarter – reliability instead of quantity.

Loyal soul – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
Whole city · Runs for a quarter · Some effort

Weekend spark – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
Whole city · Runs for a month · Little effort
What holds groups together.
Welcome weeks
New members experience three real meet-ups in their first week.
Anyone who joins a group and experiences nothing for two weeks does not come back. What is counted is the newcomer’s experience, not the number of welcomes: they have to have actually been there.
A goal for every single person
3 meet-ups in 7 days
Host – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
For your group · Runs for a month · Some effort
Nothing cancelled
Three months in which every announced meet-up really happens.
A group whose meet-ups fall through twice loses half of its quiet members – they do not come back, they just never ask. This challenge rewards reliability instead of quantity.
A goal for every single person
12 meet-ups as announced
Dependable – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
For your group · Runs for a quarter · Some effort
Open door
Four new faces a month – the door stays open.
Groups close themselves off without noticing: after six months everyone knows everyone, and newcomers can tell at their first meet-up that they are in the way. This challenge counts the new, verified members per group per month.
A goal for every single person
4 new members
Open door – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
For your group · Runs for a month · Some effort
Out of the front room
Five meet-ups in five places the group has never been.

A goal for every single person
5 new meeting places
Signpost – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
For your group · Runs for a quarter · Some effort
Bridge challenge
Two groups, one meet-up together.

A shared goal
30 cross-group meet-ups
Bridge builder – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
Whole city · Runs for a quarter · Needs preparation
Generation bridge
Groups that bring young and old to the same table.
Most groups sort themselves by age without noticing – yet the most surprising acquaintances come about exactly where that does not happen. What is counted are the group meet-ups in the city that took place, each with at least three confirmed participants.
A shared goal
40 group meet-ups
Generation bridge – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
Whole city · Runs for a quarter · Some effort
Liveliest group
Not the biggest group – the one where the most happens.
Member numbers say little: a group with 200 dormant accounts is deader than one with twelve who see each other every week. So what is counted are meet-ups that took place with confirmed participants – not joins, not posts.
A goal for every single person
20 meet-ups with real participants
Heartbeat – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
Whole city · Runs for a quarter · Some effort

Whole city · Runs for a quarter · Some effort

Companion – medal Stays in your display case permanently once it is done.
Whole city · Runs for a month · Little effort

Why this cannot be gamed.
Every challenge carries a few of these checks – the marks on its card. They are part of the count, not a promise beside it: whatever they do not let through never shows up in the figure at all.
Confirmed by both sides
Both sides have to confirm the encounter afterwards. A one-sided confirmation does not count – so two accounts belonging to the same person get you nowhere.
Verified accounts only
Only accounts that have been through verification count. A second account costs another verification.
Within the time window only
Only what took place inside the given time window counts – what matters is the actual time, not the announcement.
At least three people there
A meet-up only counts once at least three participants have confirmed. Two acquaintances on their own are not enough.
Redeemed ticket
Only redeemed tickets count. The entry code is voided when scanned and cannot be used a second time.
New places only
A place only counts the first time. Two addresses in the same building count as one place.
Someone really turned up
What counts are invitations where someone actually joined – not the number of invitations.
How to take part
You do not – at least not as a separate step. Meeting up, sharing a ride or going to an event counts automatically as soon as it matches a running challenge. There is nothing to join and nothing to sign up for that you could forget.
Got an idea for a new challenge? Write to us via contact – if it proves itself, we will add it to the catalogue.
