You adjust both in your account settings. For a new password your old one is enough; a changed email address is confirmed by a confirmation link, for security reasons.

As extra protection you can switch on a second step: after the password we send you a one-time code by email, which you enter to sign in. That keeps your account safe even if someone knows your password.

On your first visit you decide about optional cookies and tracking. You can change or withdraw that consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

When signing in you choose how long you stay signed in on this device – 24 hours, 3 days or 1 week. During that period you do not have to sign in again; afterwards you are signed out for security reasons.

On shared devices it is better to switch the option off, so that you are signed out automatically after a short spell of inactivity.

To protect your account we sign you out automatically after a longer spell of inactivity – which is particularly sensible on shared devices. With the “Stay signed in” option you decide for yourself how long you stay signed in.

Use the “Forgotten?” link on the sign-in page. We will email you a secure link for setting a new password.

Yes. In your settings you decide what you want to be told about. That way you only get the alerts that matter to you.

All data is held on servers in the EU and processed according to the requirements of the GDPR. We protect particularly sensitive content such as photos and messages with special care.

Yes. You can request a copy of the data we hold about you. That way you always keep an overview of what is stored about you.

You can delete your account yourself at any time. Your personal data is then removed permanently and in line with data protection rules.
