Berlin, 21 June 2026. The new community platform Wegbegleiter365 will enter a public beta phase in Berlin in the fourth quarter of 2026. The aim of the platform is to bring together people of every age who want to do things together – from a walk to sport and culture to travelling as a group.

Unlike conventional dating apps, Wegbegleiter365 puts the meeting in real life at the centre. People can start groups or join them, publish meet-ups of their own, offer lifts and so find company in their own city without any fuss. Berlin was chosen as the launch region because a particularly large number of people arrive there new and are looking for company.

“Loneliness is no longer something that only affects older people – it runs through every age group,” says André, founder of Wegbegleiter365. “We don’t want to build another app for swiping things away, but a place where a first hello actually turns into an afternoon spent together. The beta in Berlin is the most honest test we can run: does that really happen?”

Trust and safety come first. Profiles can be verified, reporting and blocking are reachable from every page, and after a meet-up a voluntary check-in serves as a reminder that everything is fine. All data is processed in line with the GDPR on servers within the EU.

“We particularly want to reach the people who are sceptical about platforms like this,” adds Isabelle, Head of Marketing. “That is why we go for a calm, serious tone rather than loud promises. Anyone who signs up with us should feel taken seriously from the very first moment.”
